If you want fast results when it comes to your health and wellness, nothing beats a personal trainer. If you want the best personal trainer in Atlanta, nothing beats Saidah. :-)
I am so excited about the Fall and getting everyone in shape for ...birthdays, school, and the New Year. My schedule is becoming increasingly full. If there are days/times that you would like to train, please let me know. By the end of next week, my schedule for the remaining of the year will be full.
If you have taken a 'Spoga' class lately, you know that there is not much Spoga going on. Thank you all for your patience and trust that as I trainer I know how to make you look great and feel better.
Spoga has morphed into a different type of weight-resistance circuit class. In the Fall classes will include spinning on the bikes, weights, circuits and intense ab exercises. Yoga will become a small part of the class, even getting replaced with intense flexibility exercises on some days.
We need to rename Spoga...who better to ask than those who participate in class...you! I have had a lot of good input, please if you have time...send me names to consider for Fall. Thanks for your input...Saidah
Hello everyone! You have really handled some pretty extreme workouts lately. Look for us to add complex movements into our circuits for next week. On Monday and Wednesday we will not see the bikes at all. We will however incorporate Yoga back into our sessions the last 15 minutes of class. I plan on touching on a little bit of everything next week. I have group exercise planned for us on Monday with an intense circuit on Wednesday. In Spin we will work on speed this week and in Splash, movement is the name of the game. Hope to see you all soon.
Have a great week!
“Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”
― Henry James
What a beautiful time of year, the markets have fresh berries and seeded watermelons, Splash is such a great excuse to get in the pool, and movies are being shot in the park (Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn sitings). It is really a great time of year for everyone. Kids are elated and clients are eager to workout. BTW thanks for all of your support, I have been killing you lately.
I have a few shot-outs: First to Tim for completing his triathlon last Saturday in Boston. I have always felt as if those who do multiple events were the 'real athletes'. Hope to see you back in Spin soon.
Second, to all of the new participants who have tried out the Love You Healthy Spin, Splash and Spoga classes lately. I know it was a hard first day, but you did make it and trust me EVERYONE has a hard first day. However, it is that thing that makes you come back a second day that lets me and most important YOU know that you are really ready to get in shape, lose weight and become healthier. I hope to see you all again soon.
To my Love You Healthy regulars: you are phenoms doing amazing things. Take time to pat yourself on the back. You arms don't look great just because...you did it. Be proud.
Enjoy summer everyone even with all it's humidity, heat and mosquitios. It won't be long before we are wishing for these days of sunshine, vitamin D, and fresh peaches again.
I am not sure if any of you have visited some of the fresh farmers markets that are going on this time of year. Of course my favorite is the Green Market @Piedmont Park. I am not just saying that because that's where my fitness magic happens, but the produce is amazing plus they have music, kids cooking, chef demos AND canning class this month!
I have been eager to learn how to can. It is an age old way to not only preserve food, but get those amazing nutrients from our summer crops all year long. There is also health benefits that fermentation provides that we don't get from cooking and/or eating raw foods. Pearson's peaches and Earth Harvest Farms Organic has inspired me to learn canning just so I can have those delicious peaches, okra, tomatoes, beets and blackberries all year long.
Want to join me for canning class? Check out dates (July 14, August 12) www.piedmontpark.org
