We now have parking passes available for those taking Spinergy or any other LYH Fitness class on Saturday. Park in one of the empty spots used for Willy's and or ParQ. Be sure to get a pass from me and move before the restaurants open (10-11am). See you Saturday(circuit time)!
This time of year everyone is preparing for cold and flu season. At least four of my clients have tried to take it easy on an upper body workout due to their flu shot. :-) Having a flu shot (which I don't) is one way to prepare for the upcoming flu season but boosting your immune system by consuming highly medicinal foods (which I do) is another way. This time of year, I make sure that my supply of garlic, ginger, chicken (for broth and all organic) honey, and some type of high Omega oil. My new favorite thing is the honey ginger. A great boost for your immune system. Just add it to your tea and keep the virus and bugs
Circuit training is a great ways to lose weight, tone muscles and improve cardiovascular functioning. It's time to cycle it back to our regiment. I'm excited to say that Circuit Training is back just in time for the Holidays! We should all be accustomed to our 30 minute cycle and now it's time to keep the heart-rate pounding by adding an awesome circuit. Let's get slim and trim for Thanksgiving, so that we have a few inches to spare. Check out what the first circuit will consist of (to your left). A few exercises will be modified to "more than moderate" level. :-D
Wild Salmon is coming to the green market this Saturday (Nov.9) and I am so excited about it. Fresh from Alaska, we have a fisherman from the Deadliest Catch! Your fish could be famous, so come out and get your Omega 3, 6, and 9's! There is nothing like it and the health benefits are amazing. They will only be here twice. Do any of these exercises look familiar? If you have taken a class with me lately, they should. As a general rule of fitness all strength comes from the core and in order to perform movements safe and effectively a strong core is needed. Getting a six-pack in the process is a great side effect. You can strengthen your core with situps and crunches but variety is key. So pick a new exercise to add to your fitness regiment to strengthen your core .
