There are a three things that are consistent with this time of year: 1. Shopping 2. Entertaining 3. Partying. Don't let those three things take you out of your holiday look because you still have to fit into those holiday outfits. Here are a few tips to keep you slim and trim going into the new year.
1. Eat at home first. Whenever you are going to a friends house for a holiday party or dinner, have a meal at home before you leave your house. It keeps you from overeating when you are out, plus you have more control over your diet.
2. Drink water. I can't stress this enough. When your are going out for a nice party, drink water to not only keep yourself hydrated but it also keeps you from snacking. While shopping bring water with you. I personally think shopping with a fancy water bottle is cute, and it saves a trip to the mid-mall Starbucks.
3. Plan you meal day. If you know you will have a busy day of shopping, doctor's appointments, working really make an effort to have a big breakfast. If that's not doable, pack snacks from home to take with you and if that doesn't work get home for you next meal. Yes, it is easier to stop at a restaurant, however, it is not easier on your body. Home is where the health is!
